Crownhill Fort is open to the public on the specific dates mentioned.
The inside of the Fort is private and not open to visitors at other times.

Easter Monday 1st April at Crownhill Fort - a public event between 10am and 3pm 
Our first public event of 2024. The Grounds and Museums at Crownhill Fort will be open for visitors to explore and there will be a programme of timed activities taking place during the day including a guided walk that explores the ways we manage vegetation to improve biodiversity.
 
Local vendors Hope Coffee will be selling tea, coffee, home-made savouries and cakes on the day. Details of other vendors will be added here once confirmed.
 
Admission £5 adults, £3 children, parking £2.50 per vehicle. Advance tickets are on sale now, any unsold tickets can be purchased on the day using cash only
 
Late opening at Crownhill Fort - Friday 26th April 4pm to 8pm

We are pleased to confirm that South Coast Coffee will be keeping us fed and watered at this event. Details of other vendors will be added here once confirmed.

Tuesday 9th July - firing of the Moncrieff Disappearing Gun - 6pm to 8pm
Tuesday 23rd July - firing of the Caponier Guns - 6pm to 8pm
Thursday 8th August - public event - 4pm to 7pm
Saturday 7th September - be part of a Gun crew - 10am to 3pm
Friday 20th September - bat walk - 6.30pm to 8pm
Saturday 28th September - join a guided tour of the Fort - 10am to midday
Tuesday 22nd October - Crownhill Fort After Dark - 4pm to 8pm
 
 

Crownhill Fort

Crownhill Fort is home to a succession of holiday guests and a community of small businesses. For this reason public access is not permitted on dates other than those listed above.

Some areas of the Fort including the Holiday Accommodation, underground spaces and premises occupied by our business residents are not available to view unless advertised.

Note that we only allow assistance dogs inside the Fort; please leave your pets at home.
