Help us design our new community garden at Calverley Old Hall

Thanks to National Lottery players, we are creating a brand-new garden at Calverley Old Hall for the community to use, and we need your help.

As part of our restoration, we have created a new community space which will be available for hire. Alongside the new indoor space, we will also be creating a new community garden which will be available for use more generally by the local community free of charge.

We would like to ensure that the garden becomes a real asset to the community and is valued for years to come. With this in mind, we feel that it is important for the garden to be designed with the community’s needs in mind, with direct input from those who will become the end users of the garden, the local community. We are therefore inviting our neighbours in and around Calverley to contribute ideas for the design of the space.

How to submit your ideas

We have produced a short document which can be freely downloaded below to give you more information about the project and some of the things you may wish to consider.

Please draw your design on the template on page 3 (please include labels if you would like to) and send it back to us by post or email by Friday 29 March 2024.

Please send all post to: The Landmark Trust, Shottesbrooke, Maidenhead, Berkshire, SL6 3SW. (Please include your contact details if submitting by post.)

Alternatively, if you would prefer to email your ideas or designs back to us please email us at: [email protected]

Don’t worry, you don’t have to be a fantastic artist to take part, and we would really like to hear from as many of our neighbours as possible.

You may wish to submit individual designs or to create one collaborative design as a group. Please include your name or your group’s name on your design so that we know who has produced each design. The final design of the garden will be inspired by all of your designs and will include as many ideas as possible.
