Family friendly Landmark Open Days for all ages
Summer Open Day Highlights
Landmark Open Days welcome all to experience our historic properties Open Days are free to attend, with donations welcome towards the Landmark Trust. Advance booking is preferred but drop-in's are available on the day.

At Calverley Old Hall, between Leeds and Bradford on 16-17 May, meet the friendly owls from SMJ Falconry, for a unique bird encounter. In the Community Space, take part in a creative printmaking workshop and learn about collagraph printing to make your own owl print. Facilities, including a changing area are located in the Community Space for public use over the weekend.

At Llwyn Celyn, on Saturday 6 June, we've teamed up with Bricks McGee to offer a LEGO Landmarks workshop. Free to drop-in and play anytime between 10am-2pm. Children can play with thousands of LEGO bricks guided by a Bricks McGee 'master builder' - build castles, towers and forts from LEGO bricks in a rainbow of colours from your imagination. Suitable for primary school aged children.
At The Grange, Ramsgate on Saturday 6 June, 1-4pm, join local artist Ruth Rollason for an inclusive, informal drawing activity at inspired by the Gothic patterns and creatures seen in many places around the building. Pick up a free activity sheet from the Studio and explore the Gothic designs and mythical creatures around the building; on colourful wallpapers and glass, carved into wood and embellishing furniture.
Astley Castle, near Nuneaton, Warwickshire makes a great summer family day out. On Sunday 28 June, we'll be joined by Escape Arts and artist Rakha Madahar for a creative family craft to make and take inspired by Astley Castle's past. The activity will take place 11am-3.30pm, drop-in any time.
Bring a picnic and enjoy the grounds whilst the kids play Kings and Queens of their own castle. The next door church is also over the weekend and adjacent tearoom serves refreshments over the weekend. Public parking is located in an adjoining field.

Open three times a year, Gothic Temple, next open 19-20 September is a Landmark that inspires the imagination. Situated in the grounds of National Trust, Stowe, and known as ‘Dracula’s house’ by Stowe family regulars, this Landmark is around 20 min walk from the main National Trust entrance. With hundreds of acres of landscaped parkland to run around as well as a number of other follies within the estate, there's lots to see. National Trust entry is waived for Heritage Open Days.

Events at Crownhill Fort
Crownhill Fort, Plymouth has its own programme of events throughout the year, including wildlife walks, guided tours and the firing of historic guns. Located a stone's throw from the city centre, parking is located on site.
