University of Leicester, Division of Public Health and Epidemiology, staying at Wortham Manor
An interdisciplinary, multi-institutional team aiming to develop a person-centred, holistic quality-of-life measure for people living with multiple long-term conditions, funded by the NIHR Team Science Award.
Birkbeck, University of London, staying at Goddards
Researchers and staff from Digital Education at Birkbeck University and their new Immersive Learning Centre will use newly acquired optical and laser scanning, 360 video and a drone to develop skills in applied digital heritage and better understand the practical challenges of documenting and interpreting historic properties and their interiors.
University of Stirling, staying at Auchinleck
An interdisciplinary group of scientists from the Biological and Environmental Sciences department at the University of Stirling will use their stay at Auchinleck House to bring together their research on the environmental effects of landscape restoration - including beaver reintroductions, invasive species and human-nature interactions. The study retreat will be invaluable in advancing manuscript preparation and the collective objectives of the research group, as well as developing future research grants.
University of Oxford, Department of Engineering Science, staying at Fort Clonque
A team of biotechnology researchers from the University of Oxford will use their retreat to find inspiration in how natural solutions might be deployed to tackle pressing societal challenges in climate change and sustainability.

Our project aims to advance adult social care nursing by generating high-quality, interdisciplinary research that addresses critical gaps in evidence and practice, informing education and shaping policy at national and international levels. In a focused, creative environment, we can map strategies to bridge this gap, develop impactful publications, and design innovative frameworks for training and policy.

The four co-founders of TrowelBlazers (from Universities of Sheffield, Cambridge/Liverpool, Lancaster and Georgia, US) will spend a week immersed in the early 19th century of Lyme Regis, as we explore the collaborative female networks of early palaeontologist Mary Anning. Situated in the heart of Anning’s hometown, Belmont is surrounded by the places where she both worked and engaged with women and will inform and inspire our own research.
