Lundy, a tiny island in the Bristol Channel, is a place for all who want to enjoy its beauty and precious environment. It is recognised as one of the most important sites for nature conservation in the UK.
If we are to keep Lundy special, and build on the foundation of more than 40 years’ work, we need your help. The Lundy Fund helps to protect the environment, enhance understanding and enjoyment, and create a sustainable future for the island.

Protect a unique environment
Volunteers give up their time to help the ranger with tasks such as rhododendron control. Rhododendron, an invasive species on Lundy, is threatening unique native species such as the Lundy Cabbage and the beetle that feeds on it.
Ensure sustainability
The waste heat produced by the island generator is used to heat the village and the pigs recycle all the vegetable waste from the tavern.
Enhance understanding and enjoyment
Information points and materials enhance the enjoyment of visitors to Lundy and instil them with a sense of value and appreciation of the uniqueness of the island. Groups varying from schoolchildren to birdwatchers benefit from warden-led tours and talks.
