Founded in Oxford in the 1980s, Berman Guedes Stretton (BGS Architects) is a design-led architectural practice delivering high quality projects in the culture, leisure, historic and higher education sectors.  Completed projects include new build and refurbishments, which are often undertaken in challenging yet inspiring Grade I, Grade II and Grade II* historic environments and scheduled ancient monuments. Current projects include a Welcome Centre for Canterbury Cathedral, as well as numerous projects for higher education clients. The practice’s reputation for outstanding architecture was most recently acknowledged by the Alan Walters Building, University of Birmingham winning the prestigious AJ Higher Education Project of the Year Award 2017.
