Calverley Old Hall: Delve deeper
Community craft skills at Calverley Old Hall
At the heart of Calverley’s restoration has been a series of workshops, events, activities and training opportunities, including the sharing of traditional craft skills with volunteers, trainees, and apprentices.
Uncovering the history of Calverley Old Hall
Calverley Old Hall has its origins in the 1300s and was expanded in each subsequent time period, leaving us with an archaeological kaleidoscope of Britain since the medieval times.
Creative Calverley
Three wonderful new artworks inspired by the spectacular medieval painted chamber have been created especially for Calverley Old Hall. Georgina’s and Ian’s are displayed full time in the Community Space, and Isabella’s is available to view at our public Open Days throughout the year. Read more about each artwork below.
