Vanessa Shaw

Vanessa is Visitor Experience Director, so leads the performance and operation of Landmark’s holiday business whilst overseeing all marketing, communications and public engagement. Vanessa studied history at university and is motivated by sharing heritage with people from all walks as life. Growing up in Nottingham, she cultivated her love of historic buildings through trips to Wollaton Hall, Hardwick Hall and Nottingham Castle.

Vanessa is a Trustee at SAVE Britain’s Heritage which campaigns to bring new life to threatened historic buildings of all types and ages. She is also a Trustee at the National Justice Museum in Nottingham, which explores justice and the law from the past to the present day, as well as the City of Caves, which is the UK's largest network of caves - over 900 are hidden beneath Nottingham’s streets.

Career-wise, her background is in the corporate sector, having qualified as an accountant with PwC followed by roles at the Tata Group and Diageo Plc.
