Old House, North and South, is the most handsome building on the island, in perhaps the best position, and made of the best-looking granite.

Old School, long known as 'the Blue Bung', is the island’s former Sunday school. It is a small building with a snug interior. A stay here never feels quite long enough.

Square Cottage’s front door opens on to the garden behind Old House. To the south and east it has spectacular views, especially from the upstairs sitting-room.

Castle Keep South is the largest of the three cottages built round a small courtyard and sheltered from the outside world.

Hanmers was built by a fisherman in 1902. He chose a good site, a dip in the hill, on the path from the beach to the castle, so the place is sheltered but has the wonderful view out to sea.
