2026 Open Day highlights
This year’s Open Day programme has something for everyone, offering free visits at over 40 Landmarks across the UK.

Spring Highlights
Opening the 2026 programme in April, Morpeth Castle opens to the public as part of the 58th annual Northumbrian Gathering on 11-12 April. Expect live folk music with the Ran Tanners, historical reenactors Time Bandits, storytelling and dancing, with refreshments available in the castle grounds.
The most recently completed Landmark, The Mayor's Parlour at Maison Dieu, Dover will be open 25-26 April, with activities taking place at Maison Dieu to mark Marconi Day on Saturday 25 April.

Summer Highlights
In June, in the heart of the Cotswolds, Old Campden House opens on the weekend of Chipping Campden Open Gardens, 20-21 June. The following weekend, 26-28 June, it's the turn of Astley Castle, Warwickshire, with an additional open day on Friday 26 June. We'll be joined by historical reenactors with hands-on activities taking place. Bring a picnic and enjoy the grounds, two great events for families.
We also welcome back Sudden Impulse Theatre company to both Old Campden House and Astley Castle, this year performing Shakespeare's 'The Merry Wives of Windsor', with live outdoor evening performances on the Friday and Saturday evenings. Bring a chair and a few drinks and enjoy the outdoor theatre experience with a historical Landmark backdrop. Book theatre tickets directly.

On 25-26 July, we open all three flats within The Egyptian House, Penzance, following a period of upgrades and redecoration, including careful work to refresh its iconic, instantly recognisable façade. Surrounded by galleries, cafes and some of Cornwall's beautiful coastal scenery, this rare open day event may be the excuse to make a weekend of it.
September Open Day Highlights
September will see the return of annual heritage festivals in England Heritage Open Days, Scotland Doors Open Days and Wales’ Cadw Open Doors. Sure to be fully booked in advance is Fairburn Tower, a popular recent restoration for Landmark, opening on 5-6 September as part of Doors Open Days (booking essential).
In the town of Cromford, Derbyshire, on 19-20 September join us to celebrate 250 years of industrial transformation in the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site, with whom we've partnered to programme a weekend of activities. Visit North Street, the first industrial housing in the world, take a guided tour of the village and visit Cromford Mills.
Silverton Park Stables will host its first ever Open Days since becoming a Landmark in 2008. Located in the village of Silverton, near Cullompton, Devon. On 19-20 September, discover the stories behind this fascinating historic building, the only remaining survivor of the Silverton Estate.

In Suffolk, we are pleased to be able to open Martello Tower at the foot of the Orford Ness peninsula, between the River Alde and the sea. We will open the gate for Heritage Open Days on 19-20 September. Last opened to the public in 2019, Matello Tower has been brought back from dereliction several times and is still at risk today from rising sea levels.
More highlights to follow throughout the year.
The above programme may be subject to changes, please check the website before you travel. For some smaller Landmarks, pre-booking is essential and you may be asked to queue for entry.
