Beautiful bathrooms

What could be lovelier than enjoying the view of rolling countryside or a fascinating historic room from a hot bath? Nearly all Landmark have a proper bath as well as a shower and with our programme of refurbishments many have recently become lovelier still.

Whether it's luxuriating in the rolltop bath at Cobham Dairy or enjoying views across Chatley Heath to the lights of the City of London at Semaphore Tower, we've picked a few of our favourites.

Gothic Temple

Every room in this 1741 Gothic Revival Picturesque temple is round, and the bathroom is no exception. Generations of Landmarkers have peppered the log books with positive comments on the unusually deep bathtub, positioned centrally under a glorious ceiling. Today the tub sits alongside heated towel rails and other contemporary features, but the opportunity for a luxurious soak in historic surroundings remains.

Llwyn Celyn

Original timber beams and large stone floor slabs welcome you into this spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, adding a modern feel to the ancient fabric at Llwyn Celyn. During the restoration process, special planning permission was also given to lower the floor of the bathroom, making it level-access from its neighbouring bedroom for improved accessibility.

Cobham Dairy

Lie back, relax and revel in the colourful, dappled light from the jewel-like stained glass windows of Cobham Dairy's uplifting bathroom. Coloured glass windows were a common feature in model dairies and Cobham’s is no exception. All the windows throughout the building have been remade, the red, yellow and blue border slips carefully match the contemporary glass in Wyatt’s hallway at Cobham Hall.
