MS Oldenburg

Uniquely placed 18km off the North Devon coast, Lundy is an island surrounded by a wealth of marine habitats.

The journey to or from Lundy from either Bideford or Ilfracombe usually takes less than 2 hours. Some sailings return you to a different port from which you departed when a coach/transport link is required between ports we are happy to coordinate this if you let us know on your return journey aboard MS Oldenburg. The ticket price is inclusive of the Lundy landing fee (£10 or free to National Trust members) and luggage transport fee (£5 with a minimum charge of £30). For fares and sailing times please see the sailing pages.

There is a luggage allowance of 20kg per person on MS Oldenburg and anyone carrying luggage in excess of this will be charged accordingly. Please contact the shore office on (01237) 470 074 regarding the carriage of personal diving equipment such as tanks, weights etc.

On occasion, if MS Oldenburg is unable to sail a helicopter service is provided to Hartland point at a subsidised price of £48 per person and £16 for infants under 2 years. This is dependent on that day’s flying conditions, helicopter availability and that you have paid for passage on MS Oldenburg.

If you would like to use your own RIB or inflatable whilst you are here, this can be transported on the Oldenburg- please contact the shore office for up to date prices and avaliablity on (01237) 470 074.

Please note that we are not responsible for any damage or loss caused to boats or equipment during shipment or whilst on Lundy so please ensure your belongings are appropriately insured. Petrol on Lundy is a limited commodity and we cannot offer it for sale other than in an emergency.  If you are bringing your own boat you must organise to bring sufficient fuel for your stay.
