The building now known as Fox Hall was built in 1730 for the 2nd Duke of Richmond.  Its magnificent room upstairs has been described as “a sequin in an ordinary world”.

Here you can live in the centre of Rome overlooking the Spanish Steps in spacious rooms with tiled floors and high, beamed ceilings painted in soft colours.

Bought by the Landmark Trust in 1979, Monkton Old Hall is believed to date from Medieval times and probably acted as the guesthouse to the nearby small Benedictine Priory.
