The three Castle Keep Cottages are built round a small courtyard inside the Keep and are a great place to stay to experience Lundy’s beauty, community and way of life.

This very clever scale model of a French chateau sits on a hill above the River Trent in the middle of the Lincolnshire countryside.

Listed Grade II*, the dairy was conceived to represent a tiny Italianate chapel topped with a bell tower, and with four corner pavilions.

The tower was built as a folly in 1821 with a pretty sitting room on the first floor. The third floor was added in 1943 by the Germans as an observation point, with views in every direction.

A tiny, circular tower standing on the boundary of a cricket pitch, Prospect Tower was built around 1808. Approached along an avenue of walnut trees, Lord Harris called it his “whim.”

This beautiful little pavilion has two distinct faces and has a breath-taking panorama. Approached from the wood, this rustic cottage with a thatched roof houses an elegant interior.

A Georgian folly within an outstanding Picturesque garden, the Ruin was built in about 1766. On the edge of a steep wooded gorge, it was one of several buildings scattered across the gardens.

Mill House dates from 1700 and is mainly built of stone with a thatched and slated roof. No. 1 is the slightly larger of two cottages and has a wide fireplace in the sitting room.

Bramble Villa is in the St John’s Valley and has stunning views over the sea towards Devon. Lundy’s beauty, community and way of life make it a world apart.

The views of the coastline from the verandah of Castle Bungalow are magnificent. This 1920's Boulton and Paul bungalow has snug wood-lined rooms and lattice windows.

Castle Keep South is the largest of the three cottages built round a small courtyard and sheltered from the outside world.

A cosy timber building in the atmospheric hamlet of Coombe, Chapel Cottage arrived in Coombe in about 1860 on wheels. Enjoy fine views over idyllic orchards that lead down to a stream.

Coed y Bleiddiau is a small railway cottage at a remote private halt on the restored Ffestiniog & West Highland Railway.

Hanmers was built by a fisherman in 1902. He chose a good site, a dip in the hill, on the path from the beach to the castle, so the place is sheltered but has the wonderful view out to sea.
