Join us to explore Morpeth Castle on Saturday 6 - Sunday 7 April 2024, 10am-4pm.
We have teamed up again with the Northumbrian Gathering to include drop-in free family friendly activities throughout the weekend. Expect live music, storytelling, historical reinactors and family-friendly heritage activities
Landmark Open Days are family friendly and we welcome all ages. These free open days will be an opportunity to see inside this local landmark and learn more about its history and restoration.
The Landmark we know today as Morpeth Castle was originally a gatehouse built at the entrance to the castle from which it gets its name and it sits on a hill with fine views of the town and the River Wansbeck.
- Pre-booking via Eventbrite is preferred but not essential.
- leaflets on the building's history and children's activity sheets will be available on site.
- Parking is available in the town.
