Lengthsman's Cottage Open Days

In line with current UK government advice regadirng Coronavirus, these open days have been cancelled.

Lengthsman's Cottage is a snug barrel-roofed cottage, dating from c1812, and a rare survivor of its type on the Stratford-upon-Avon Canal. It was built for the 'lengthsman' - who maintained the lock as well as the next stretch of canal.

These free open days will be an opportunity to see inside this important local landmark and learn more about its history and restoration.

Please note that parking will be available at The Fleur De Lys public house in Lowsonford - the staff from The Fleur would love to welcome you in for a drink or some lunch after your visit to Lengthsman's Cottage.
