This four storey, circular tower stands high on the cliff above Kimmeridge Bay overlooking one of the most striking bays on the Dorset coast. Here is the Jurassic Coast, England’s first natural World Heritage Site, and the South West Coastal Path runs past the door. Built in 1830 Clavell Tower's location has captivated many including writers like Hardy and PD James.

PLEASE NOTE - There is no parking in the village at all. The Smedmore Estate on whose land Clavell Tower stands has a parking area which costs £5.00 for the day and this give access to the coast line and to the property. Once parked, Clavell Tower can only be reached on foot up a steep coastal path.
We’d like to raise that due to the nature of our historic properties and their locations, that some buildings may not be suitable for people with some disabilities or limited mobility. We do endeavour to accommodate additional access needs where possible. Due to the layout and location of this buildng it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility.
