November's edition features Coed y Bleiddiau in Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd.
Set in the hear of breathtaking scenery in Snowdonia, Coed y Bleiddiau is a humble granite cottage at a remote private holt on the restored Ffestiniog Railway. It was built in 1863 for the railway Superintendent, Thomas Henry Hovenden, halfway along the 13-mile stretch of narrow-guage track that carried slate from the mines at Blaenau Ffestiniog to Porthmadog harbour, from where it was distributed worldwide. Guests can arrive by steam strain to the corrage's private platform or walk up on a footpath through the woods.
