New Head of the Historic Estate

Susan McDonough has joined the Landmark Trust as its Head of the Historic Estate. Susan is a historic buildings surveyor who has been Senior Conservation Surveyor with Martin Ashley Architects for the last eight years, working extensively on buildings at Windsor Castle. Before that she was a Conservation Surveyor for Historic Royal Palaces and in 2006 was an SPAB Lethaby Scholar.

As Head of the Historic Estate, Susan will oversee a £1.4 million budget for conservation repairs and maintenance activities on the Landmark Trust’s 195 historic buildings. She will oversee major restoration projects to save buildings at risk and manage a team of regional surveyors.
