Landmark's partnership with Horrible Histories

Enter our competition to win £50 worth of books

Landmark is proud to be working with the Horrible Histories team at Scholastic Children’s Books. Horrible Histories by Terry Deary and illustrated by Martin Brown is the world’s bestselling children’s history series. Landmark’s regional librarians have chosen Horrible Histories books for a selection of Landmarks based on the period in which the building was built and the history of its local area. Look out for Gorgeous Georgians, Terrifying Tudors, Slimy Stuarts and more arriving in a range of our properties soon.

With irreverent humour and witty illustrations, both children and adults enjoy Horrible Histories. They join the curated range of books in many of Landmark's buildings across Britain. Historian and Landmark fan Dan Snow has written a blog to mark Landmark’s tie-up with Horrible Histories.

Landmarkers could win £50 worth of free Horrible Histories books including a Blood-Curdling Box of Books and a copy of Cruel Kings and Mean Queens. To be entered into the competition please email with your favourite family-friendly Landmark Trust building and stating your reason(s) why.

The entry deadline is 15 March 2016 at 5pm. The winner will be chosen at random and notified by 22 March, with the prize being sent soon after.
