The bespoke tour was expertly led by blue badge guide Katie Wignall from Look up London tours. It celebrated and illuminated some of London’s hidden history, plus passed by one of our smallest Landmarks, 43 Cloth Fair - the former home of John Betjeman and next door to the only remaining house in the City to survive of the Great Fire of London.
Katie ably led us around Smithfield and Clerkenwell, revealing long forgotten pieces of history, guiding us around the majestic St Bartholomew the Great Church and even pointing out filming locations for Agatha Christie's Poirot. We ended at the Crown Tavern in Clerkenwell for a warming drink or two.
We are planning another tour with Katie later in spring 2019, so keep an eye on your Young Landmarkers emails for more information.
