How to make a one off donation
Making a one off donation is one of the easiest ways you can support our work in restoring buildings of architectural and historic importance for all to enjoy. Your gift, no matter what size, will help rescue a future Landmark.
To make an donation online
Making an online donation is an easy and secure way to support our work in restoring buildings of architectural and historic importance for all to enjoy. Your gift, no matter what size, will help rescue a future Landmark.
Please click below to donate online via our secure payment page. To make an online donation simply select which appeal you would like to support, or if you would like to support Landmark's work in general, select Landmark. This is a particularly useful gift as it allows us to use the money where the need is greatest.

Tax efficient giving
If you are a UK taxpayer, and make a Gift Aid declaration, you will be able to increase the value of your gift to the Landmark Trust by over 25% at no extra cost. For example, if you make a donation of £100, your contribution will be worth approximately £125 to Landmark.
If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you can also claim higher rate relief from the Inland Revenue on your gift - so your contribution will personally cost you less.
For example, as a higher rate taxpayer (at 40%), if you make a donation of £1,000 it could cost you only £750 and Landmark would receive £1,250 with Gift Aid.
The same rules apply if you make your gift by Direct Debit.
Please remember to notify us if you no longer pay an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax equal to the tax we receive as Gift Aid on your donations.

Making a Gift Aid declaration
One Gift Aid declaration can apply to all past donations you have made in the past 4 years and to all future donations you make. You must pay an amount of tax at least equal to the tax that the charity reclaims on your donations in the tax year (currently 25p for each £1 you give).
You can make a Gift Aid Declaration, without making a donation at the same time, by the following means:
- Telephone: please call the Development Office on 01628 825920
- Post: please go to Make a donation by post and just complete your address details on the form and tick the Gift Aid declaration.
When making a donation by post or online please tick the Gift Aid Declaration.
Giving via self assessment
If you complete a self assessment tax return you can nominate Landmark to receive all or part of any repayment of tax that may be due to you. Simply use the tax return form to make your donation which is then paid direct to Landmark. The Inland Revenue automatically apply Gift Aid, increasing the value of your donation by 25% at no cost to you. If you would like to make a donation to Landmark in this way you will need to quote the reference GAC17YG on your Self-Assessment Form. All money raised will directly contribute to the rescue and restoration of buildings at risk.
So that we are aware of your intention to support our work in this way, please let us know by contacting the Development Office.
Further information is also available from the Inland Revenue.
Making a gift of shares
If you give shares to Landmark, you can claim tax relief equal to the market value of the shares on the day you make the gift, together with any associated costs such as broker's fees. For example, if you are a higher rate taxpayer it could only cost you £600 to make a donation to Landmark of £1,000 worth of shares (you could claim relief of £400 off your income tax bill). If there is a gain on the shares, no capital gains tax will be payable by the giver or the Landmark Trust.
Please contact the Development Department to discuss your plans or to check that Landmark will be able to accept your gift.
