Why we need your support

The Landmark Trust is a registered charity that relies on the generosity of others to ensure our past has a future.

The cost of acquiring, restoring and furnishing new Landmarks is wholly dependent on the donations we receive from individuals, grant giving trusts and other bodies such as English Heritage and the Heritage Lottery Fund. Without this collective support over 180 unique properties would not have become Landmarks.

The rescue of each Landmark requires an initial huge injection of funds, anywhere from £50,000 to over £1 million, which must be secured before restoration can begin. Once restored, the income from letting the Landmark pays for its upkeep and provides a secure future for the building.

Every year we turn down many buildings which need our help simply because we do not have the funds to restore them.

You can help rescue an historic building at risk by making a donation to Landmark using one of the many options available. Your gift, no matter what size, will ensure that our architectural heritage has a secure future.
