The staff at Landmark all have a commitment to the preservation of historic buildings and to the enjoyment of those buildings by our visitors. In addition to needing expertise in building restoration, furnishing, marketing, fundraising, bookings and finance, we also rely on housekeeping staff at each of our properties nationwide. Landmark employs 40 professional and administrative staff, predominantly at our offices in Shottesbrooke and some 350 Housekeepers and Gardeners.

Vacancies for professional staff are few and far between. However, if you have specific skills and experience in the building conservation sector, particularly in surveying, fundraising or marketing, do contact us to discuss potential opportunities.


Regional Librarians

We are now seeking part-time Regional Librarians to monitor, improve and care for the libraries in our Landmarks.  It is expected the work will involve an average of one day per week.

Building Surveyors - Shottesbrooke

We are seeking Building Surveyors to be responsible for the conservation, maintenance, repair and improvement of our buildings. The role will include the opportunity to lead new restorations as well as managing the maintenance of the existing portfolio.

 

With budget, project and people management experience, you will have a relevant building-related chartered qualification and preferably building conservation accreditation.

Regional Property Manager – Devon

We have a vacancy, approx 35 hours per week, for a Regional Property Manager to manage our properties in Devon and Dorset. The role involves managing the housekeeping and gardening staff for the properties as well as co-ordinating minor repairs and some customer liaison.

 

You will have previous management or supervisory experience and will certainly be used to working in a stand-alone role.

Furniture Restorers

Our furnishing team is looking to increase its pool of subcontractors to carry out furniture repairs and antiques restoration. The level of work and type of work varies depending on need; all interested parties must have self employed status and proven experience. Skill in colouring and polishing would be an advantage.

 

The team works in the Worcestershire/ Gloucestershire borders area so a valid driving licence and transport is essential.

Housekeepers & Gardeners - nationwide

We always welcome applications from Housekeepers who have experience of cleaning and maintaining properties to high standards. Similarly, we have an ongoing requirement for experienced Gardeners. Specific jobs are advertised in the local press and speculative applications will be passed to the Regional Property Manager (RPM) in your area for consideration.
