Ascog House
Ascog

Isle of Bute, Argyll and Bute

Ascog House is a seventeenth-century Laird’s house, with projecting stair turret, dormer windows and crow-stepped gables. The windows on the east side overlook the rediscovered paths and terraces of a former Victorian formal garden, but the best view of all is from the cap house, the tiny perfect bedroom in the top of the stair turret. Ascog lies in large and secluded grounds on the sheltered east coast of the Isle of Bute.
